Balance Your Brain: Meditative Workshop

Join Hanna Tadevich for an evening workshop focused on calming the nervous system and balancing the mind through practices you can integrate into your daily life! 

We will begin the workshop by setting a sacred space together and checking in with ourselves. Hanna will lead 30 minutes of gentle movement that will allow us to clear any energetic blocks and activate the rest-and-digest aspect of the nervous system. The bulk of the workshop will be focused on learning and practicing meditation exercises that are especially beneficial for calming anxiety, stabilizing brain health, and promoting self-healing* - and then we’ll have the opportunity for deep rest through guided Yoga Nidra (or yogic sleep). We will close the workshop with the sacred practice of mantra.

*Meditative practices are from the Himalayan Kundalini tradition and have been shown to decrease depression and anxiety, heal brain injuries and disease, and improve attention and focus. They are powerful tools to incorporate into your routine!

All are welcome! Hanna seeks to teach classes that are accessible and empowering for all ages, bodies, identities, and levels of experience with yoga and meditation.

Please arrive by 6:50 pm to get settled! Bring a yoga mat, cushion, notebook, and pen; as well as any sacred objects you might like to place on our shared altar during the workshop. If you are in need of a yoga mat or cushion, please reach out to in advance to hannatadevich@gmail.com and Hanna will gladly supply extras.

Workshop led by Hanna Tadevich, a registered yoga teacher (RYT500), certified meditation teacher, and mental health specialist. Hanna is both spiritual teacher and student, who takes joy in holding space for others’ healing and in learning from community. Her primary work in New Orleans is teaching yoga, mindfulness, and art to students K-8.
