Letters To A Known Future:
Writing From The World We Leave
How do we imagine beyond who we have been? How do we tell the stories that will eventually answer the question: What Happened?
We will use letter writing, dialogue, and monolog writing as a tool to discover the deeper roots within our stories and characters and to uncover the goals we are writing into the bones of our text.
This workshop is for writers and storytellers working in any medium or genre that uses characters and symbols to tell stories (poetry, cross medium, experimental, lyric making, film and stage etc.)
There will be opportunity to read or perform work, but will not be expected. This workshop is primarily generative and seeks to create ‘support writing’ that will add levels of depth, focus, and perspective to the stories you write and the stories you tell or get you started on something all together new.
Reading is light, this is a writing intensive workshop and promises to be an illuminating experience.
(An essay from each: Adrienne Maree Brown, Donna Haraway, Douglas Rushkoff)
